Remember Remember

Remember Remember the 5th of November. Almost one year ago I attempted to awake the student body from their slumber. Did I fail? Only time will tell. Do your part and play a part in changing this university and the world for the better. Don't sit around and wait for someone to do it for you. There will be no fireworks or explosions in this revolution. (And please, vandalism and violence is nether helpful or required.)

So I challenge you to take this 5th as an opportunity to fix what's broken. Look around, what is the most important to you? Now take charge and do something to make it better. Joining a group, participating in a protest, writing letters, and voting in elections are all good places to start. But these are things that everyone should be doing already.

In order to see real change you need to take charge. Don't let others do all the work while you sit back and watch. Lead the group, plan the protest, run in the election. And then use your new leadership to encourage others and change broken rules and processes. We live within a system that can be changed. But it can only be done if everyone is willing to take charge and question the status quo.

You may have heard about the protests breaking out around the world. Unfortunately all of them are still on step one: complaining. We, the students of WSU, did that last November. We have a whole year on them. Now show the world that we have what it takes to take it to the next level. Let's all take charge to change the system from the inside.

Tell everyone what your personal project to change the world is with the #wsu1812 hashtag on twitter.

This will be the last communication from V. Students of WSU, this is your revolution now.
